A processional performance of remembrance. Khumbula/Philanathi seeks to crack the concrete of collective amnesia, allowing buried memories to resurface and reclaim their space.

A project by the University of Cape Town (UCT) Works of Art Collection (WOAC). Directed and performed by Mud and Fire Parables. 8 Oct 2025, Sarah Baartman precinct, UCT. Part of the Inaugural Humanities Festival 2025, October 6–12, featuring a week of talks, workshops, and performances to showcase the faculty's creativity and scholarship.
